It was the most perfect wedding weekend here in Southern Kentucky for Lauren and Darin, clouds but sun shinning all day. We have been getting to know Lauren and Darin over the past year with two engagement shoots that you can check out here and here. Lauren and Darin picked a venue in Somerset, Kentucky called The 5th Quarter, we have shot at this venue multiple times, but this wedding was different as they rented the entire house for the weekend as Darin’s entire family are traveling in from North Carolina.
Lauren’s style for her dream wedding was very classy and elegant, she went with a light sage green with a splash of blush pink throughout. Her dress was so unique from Relix Bridal in Lexington and her florals were spot on from Amy at Village Florist and I highly recommend her!
Lauren’s and Darin’s day started out with a Bridal breakfast, check out the groomsmen’s attire as this was their gifts! It was so funny, Darin was not letting the girls steal the show with their pajamas, so he decided he would do robes and have funny nicknames monogrammed for his guys. They rocked them! ha.
After breakfast everyone started getting ready, hair and makeup. Meanwhile the guys played corn hole and video games. Then we started portraits. The entire day was revolved around their love and appreciation for their friends and family to witness the most important day of their life. My favorite part of the day is witnessing their love at their first look and the way he gazed at her beauty! My second favorite was at the reception when the father of the bride and bride was doing their slow lovely dance and within one minute they busted out in rock music and told everyone the party was moving outside to the DJ! The entire bridal party followed! It was so much fun!
Every moment of their day was so different and special and I believe it was exactly how they wanted their day!
Thank you Lauren and Darin for opening up your love to share with us and everyone else. We appreciate our friendship journey with you and look forward to capturing way more future memories with you! (As a side note, I got to jump in the Kappa Delta photos with all Lauren’s sorority sisters, it brought up old Collage day memories, ha! Go KD, AOT girls!)
