Shannon and Dylan booked us over a year ago and we couldn’t wait for their day! Shannon and Dylan has known our Senior Associate for a very long time, so it was clear to them exactly the team they wanted to capture her day. We were so happy to be chosen for their day. I, Tonya Lynn had the honor of getting to know them for two engagement shoots. You can tell they love each other and are perfect for one another. I really feel we all meshed so well, and as wedding photographers we hope that with each Bride and groom that books us!
Shannon and Dylan’s day was held at the beautiful vineyard of Talon Winery in Lexington, Kentucky. It was a sunny windy day, we kept saying that we will take the wind over the rain. Shannon and Dylan had a first look prior to the ceremony! It’s one of my favorite things, I love how intimate this can be. Some grooms would rather wait for the bride to walk down that aisle but they don’t realize that even with doing a prior first look, it can still be spectacular. Dylan still had tears when she walked down with her Dad, even having done the first look. I also think nerves are more relaxed with doing first look prior.
The ceremony was gorgeous and the reception was so much fun! They decided to have their favorite pizza place to caterer the reception and it was quite delicious and don’t forget the yummy donut stand! The rest of the night was tons of dancing and celebrating the love of Shannon and Dylan!
