It was the most perfect wedding weekend here in Southern Kentucky for Lauren and Darin, clouds but sun shinning all day. We have been getting to know Lauren and Darin over the past year with two engagement shoots that you can check out here and here. Lauren and Darin picked a venue in Somerset, Kentucky called The 5th Quarter, we have shot at this venue multiple times, but this wedding was different as they rented the entire house for the weekend as Darin’s entire family are traveling in from North Carolina.
Lauren’s style for her dream wedding was very classy and elegant, she went with a light sage green with a splash of blush pink throughout. Her dress was so unique from Relix Bridal in Lexington and her florals were spot on from Amy at Village Florist and I highly recommend her!
Lauren’s and Darin’s day started out with a Bridal breakfast, check out the groomsmen’s attire as this was their gifts! It was so funny, Darin was not letting the girls steal the show with their pajamas, so he decided he would do robes and have funny nicknames monogrammed for his guys. They rocked them! ha.
After breakfast everyone started getting ready, hair and makeup. Meanwhile the guys played corn hole and video games. Then we started portraits. The entire day was revolved around their love and appreciation for their friends and family to witness the most important day of their life. My favorite part of the day is witnessing their love at their first look and the way he gazed at her beauty! My second favorite was at the reception when the father of the bride and bride was doing their slow lovely dance and within one minute they busted out in rock music and told everyone the party was moving outside to the DJ! The entire bridal party followed! It was so much fun!
Every moment of their day was so different and special and I believe it was exactly how they wanted their day!
Thank you Lauren and Darin for opening up your love to share with us and everyone else. We appreciate our friendship journey with you and look forward to capturing way more future memories with you! (As a side note, I got to jump in the Kappa Delta photos with all Lauren’s sorority sisters, it brought up old Collage day memories, ha! Go KD, AOT girls!)
Senior Spokesmodels 2022 Introduction
Welcome Senior Spokesmodels Class of 2022!
We have enjoyed getting to know these girls already and can’t wait to introduce you to this sweet group! This is our second year doing Spokesmodels and we couldn’t be more pumped to kick off this new class! We always throw a little party as a big welcome. We use this as a chance for the girls to meet each other, for us to meet them and to get some fun shots one on one with each gal. This year we presented each girl with a small goodie bag, headshots, jamming music, Italian dinner, the cutest sweets and a pool party to end the night. As soon as all the girls met there was an instant connection. They all became best friends and left hand in hand. We love getting to be a small part in you senior year and the friendships that are built through our program. We did some headshots before dinner in their custom sweatshirts, then did sunset pictures poolside. I can’t wait to introduce you to the coolest gals — Lauren Worley, Erin Atwell, Reagan Brummett, Makenna Meeks, Caroline Oaks, Macy Norfleet, and Tori Inabnitt
Jake reached out to me about having us photograph their wedding day shortly after their engagement. From the moment we met this couple we instantly clicked with them. It makes us so happy to be so involved in our weddings we photograph, we truly became friends with Sabryn and Jake. This was the first couple that their entire bridal party got ready at our house. It worked wonderfully and it was so laid back and fun!
Sabryn and Jake met at Baxters Coffee, Jake was working there and Sabryn was the customer. They hit it off immediately, and three and half years later they are engaged! Their wedding day was so perfect! It was a hot pretty sunny June day. Their wedding ceremony and reception was at the Center located in Somerset. They decided to do the ceremony in the front lawn, which was so pretty. Then the Reception was in the Front glass window room of the Center. Their was so many special details throughout their day! They didn’t have their dog Blu there for the ceremony since he is still a puppy but, they had a little dog treat from him to all dog parents that were guest! It was a cute blues clue dog treat. This is just one of the many different details involved during their day, from Vinyard Vines sticker to represent Jakes previous job there to his love for cigars and bourbon to her gorgeous Bella Belle shoes! It was all a dream, really it was and we were so happy to be there and be a small part of it all!
Thank you both for all the great time we spent with you and we know you have such a bright future ahead of you!
Sending you all the love and joy to your new life together!

Hannah + Braydon
We were so excited to drive to Tennessee to meet Hannah and Braydon! We decided to do their engagement shoot at their venue that they will be getting married at in September. It was so great to walk the area and get to know the property. If you have never been to this area, then you really should, It is located in a little community not far from Knoxville, called Kingston, TN. The Venue is named White Stone Country Inn, it is located on the shore lines of Watts Bar Lake, which is GORGEOUS. Within the venue there is a big plantation home along with a white chapel and lots of flowers and greenery within the grounds! It makes for the most stunning views of the Lake as you can imagine.
Hannah and Braydon have this direct connection with each other which makes our jobs easier! She has the cutest smile along with her elegance she displays! Braydon is a bundle of joy to talk to and I am just so happy that they have chosen us to capture their day!
Chelsey and Jeremy’s day was more then perfect. It was a chilly day, but their love shined through out. These two knew each other from high school but Chelsey was not interested in dating at that time, but later after high school did she realize that he was the ONE! She now says if she knew what she knows now she would have grabbed him, ha! Jeremy has many siblings including a twin brother, they love duck hunting and Jeremy wore his bow-tie from his wedding day that was recent. There were so many special moments throughout the day, like their gifts for one another, their personal private vows, praying together and celebrating their love as one. The joy of them becoming one was long awaited and such a beautiful day celebrating their love for one another. We wish you all the absolute best and hope you all are having the best time on your honeymoon in Puerto Rico!

We wish Lily all the luck in the world and know she was be so successful in her future!
Layla had her Spring Senior shoot this week! We had such a fun evening, just hanging around downtown Somerset, it was actually an adventure! We pondered new places to go and had a funny suprise when a cat jumped out from behind her, it scared us to death, Ha! Layla is graduating next week and it has been such a pleasure to get to know her! I can only imagine what this girl is going to accomplish in life! She is headed to Lindsey Wilson for academics and archery in the Fall.
We wish Layla the best of luck!

We enjoyed an evening with Courtney and Mike. We were so excited about meeting this couple, we have had virtual calls with them but had never met them. We just knew we would click. They both live in Lexington, Mike is from Lexington but Courtney is not, we actually met them through our wedding planner Sarah! Which Sarah will be planning their wedding and came along with us on this shoot! We knew it was going to be such a fun time!
We met in Lexington with their cute dogs, who they adore! Who wouldn’t? look at them and they were so lovable!
Then we went to Gratz park, for some photos with all the traditional Lexington hot spots! We ended the session at a gorgeous sunset at Keeneland. All of these locations are so special to them as they have grown to love this city as a dating couple.
We are so excited for Courtney and Mike’s wedding day in April 2022! It will be here before you know it.
Thanks for such a fun evening!

Lauryn and Matt’s engagement shoot was so whimsical, everything was blooming and spring is finally here, YAY! We are looking forward to their wedding day this Fall. Lauryn and Matt are from the same hometown and was raised growing up knowing one another. It was until after they graduated high school they started pursuing one another, and their love for one anther grew!
They both went into the medical field. Matt decided to propose to Lauryn at the beautiful Biltmore Estates, as you can only imagine how awesome that was!
Matt and Lauryn are just the cutest together, during their shoot we found a field of four leaf clovers which says how lucky they are! I know their wedding day is going to be absolutely amazing with lots of true luck. They are getting married in London at The Oak Hill Gardens, we can’t WAIT! We have never shot there before, which makes it even more exciting for us!
We hope you love Matt + Lauryn’s engagement shoot as much as we do!

Leelynn and Turner’s wedding day was held at the Farm on the Lake overlooking the gorgeous views of Lake Cumberland. Leelynn and Turner are not from Kentucky but Leelynn spent every Summer on Lake Cumberland. So when they decided to get married she knew instantly exactly where she would say their vows overlooking the mountains and lake. Leelynn is a very sentimental person and wanted to incorporate many things during her day that was special to her. She decided to have her Mother’s wedding dress and veil altered so she could where the same exact dress that her Mother got married in. Not only did she wear her mothers wedding dress but she wore her grandmothers wedding dress to her rehearsal dinner, you can see the shorter version dress in the photos within the blog photos. She looked precious in it, it was so special to all of them. The cute little purse she carried was also a family heirloom. Despite the rain their love for one another filled the area. They had high spirits and a special joy filled day they will never forget with the most beautiful view!
